However, many of them did not walk alone and always had the company of a faithful squire who accompanied them on all their adventures. 1. Yoshi (Super Mario World)

This creature that won the hearts of all fans of the franchise first appeared in Super Mario World in 1991 for Super Nintendo. The adorable dinosaur that loves to eat has definitely come and stayed. His main role from the beginning was to help Mario in his adventures to save Princess Peach.

In addition to serving as a mount for the protagonist, he also fed on enemies and objects that crossed his path. He also had the stamina to step between the thorns, often sacrificing himself for his great friend Mario.
