How the Current AFL Season Will Work
The league consists of 18 teams from across Australia. The season will start on March 5, and the Grand Final will take place on September 26, creating months of thrilling competition for fans to enjoy.
The home and away season spans 24 rounds, where each team plays 23 matches. At the end of these rounds, the top eight teams on the ladder qualify for the Finals Series.
